When renovating old buildings, we work hard to make the space functional and aesthetically pleasing, while preserving the character and charm of the building. The owners of this historic Windsor building wanted to renovate the space from an old gym building, into offices and storage space.
Some projects are needed to update the safety and bring this older building up to code. We put in a new electrical service, installed new sprinklers, and new plumbing.
We rebuilt the main entry and stairway to comply with accessibility requirements, and constructed ADA compliant bathrooms.
To make the space more functional for the owners, we constructed office space, built service stairs to the basement (wide enough to transport large items), and poured new concrete flooring in the basement to create a clean storage space.
