These clients wanted to completely renovate their new home to better suit their lifestyle and needs. We started by adding a mudroom at the end of the garage with functional built-ins. This active family needed a space to store all their outdoor gear.
We opened up the small and dated kitchen, giving the clients a much more modern and functional space. The kitchen got a new and larger layout, with new cabinets, countertops, lighting, and flooring throughout.
We added a focal point wall with custom built-ins and a gas fireplace to the main living space. In addition, we gave the main staircase a modern update, including removing the large landing step at the bottom, to create a much more functional space.
We reinsulated the sunroom (located off the main living area) and opened up the adjoining wall for a more open entertaining space. We added heat to allow the family use of this space year-round.
On the second floor, we remodeled an existing bathroom and converted an unneeded bedroom into a master bathroom and walk-in closet. We also turned an awkward bonus space into a functional laundry room with lots of storage and counter space for folding.
